We practice proving our integrity through our actions. We are a couple who love to learn and share all we can with the intent to bring about dealing with wildlife better than other industries have in the past. We are not pest control as that strictly means, to control with the use of pesticides. We at Keep Animals Out are all about figuring out the best natural and safe ways to manage wildlife that has become a problem or even an infestation.
With a strong foundation in first-hand wildlife experience and animal care, co-founder Alex combines his private sector experience in wildlife remediation with the discipline and skills gained during his service as an animal care specialist in the Army. His extensive experience has equipped him with the skills to design and implement effective, long-lasting solutions for homes and businesses. A skilled and agile professional, Alex is comfortable working in challenging environments, including rooftops and complex structures, and is known for his meticulous approach and patience in resolving even the most intricate issues.
As the founder of Keep Animals Out LLC, Addison brings a lifelong passion for all living creatures and a calm, collected approach to every intrusive/invasive or unwanted wildlife situation. Her experience includes relocating black widows, navigating attics with mother raccoons, handling wasp nests for relocation, capturing squirrels in homes - even remaining remarkably still as they've scampered up and over her body during in home capture and releases. With a background in psychology and a concurrent career in cosmetology, Addison combines her understanding of human behavior with a creative and compassionate approach, ensuring that both clients and animals receive exceptional care and attention, reflecting the high standards she and Alex have chosen to set for their business.
Addison and Alex make a great team that grows and expands skills together and are happy to share our expertise! We have been together for a decade and in business for a little over half of that time. What pests do you work with? Ones you Don't?
We work with mice, rats, voles, black widows and other spiders, woodpeckers and other birds, wasps, hornets, squirrels, snakes, raccoons, rabbits, skunk, fox, prairie dogs, yellow-bellied marmots, and bats. We do NOT work with bugs, beetles, termites, bed bugs, cockroaches, mosquitos, silverfish, elder bugs, moths, bears, mountain lions, bobcats or cougars. If there is a critter here not listed, please ask.
How do you work?
We start by getting eyes on the property and assessing what is going on, where it's going on and how it's going on. We then take the steps to remove or evict or drive out the unwanted wildlife. Finally, we prevent wildlife entry by animal proofing the home based on the estimate we provide upon completion of roof to ground, inside and outside inspection. We focus on exterior seal up as the animals had to get in from outside. We will also do interior work depending on the case.
Are your methods safe?
Yes, we use natural methods that are safe for pets and humans. We use essential oils as wildlife repellents, soapy water for removing wasp nests in unsafe areas, one-way doors that allow wildlife to exit and not re enter. For rodent management we will use snap traps if asked, otherwise we use Rat-X and it works the best we have found for management and safety of the environment. Repairs are all custom.
Do you offer guarantees?
Yes, we guarantee about 90% of the work we do. There are exceptions, such as, if you share a unit with someone else whom also would need to be sealed up, or if there is a low deck we don't fit under and cannot guarantee there isn't an entry way where we cannot see. If we cannot guarantee, we will let you know why and what else we can do to manage or help you manage. If we can guarantee, we warranty our work for the lifetime of the property. If any animal breaches our repairs, or gets back into a space, we will come and remove them and repair again for free. If you move, give our information to the new owner, lifetime of the property.

When weather permits, we also work West into the mountains in counties such as Summit, Clear County and Lake CO.
